Mining-header

KSB Group is serious about environmental sustainability and safety standards. Our suppliers and business partners are required to comply with international standards for human rights and environmental impact. We ensure environmental and social responsibility, occupational health and safety, and compliance with national and international regulations and laws. What follows are just a few examples of our commitment to sustainability in action.

Leaving it better than we found it

The places we work — and the people who live and work in those places — matter to us. We use sustainability processes and standards to promote better, more efficient use of resources and reduce our environmental impact. Our energy efficient, variable-speed water pumps aim to save 850,000 tonnes of CO2 per year in Europe alone.

KSB’s occupational health and safety requirements frequently exceed national and international standards. To ensure the safest possible work environment for our employees, our customers, and their employees, KSB has developed its own environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. Our EHS rules apply internationally — to every KSB employee. And to be sure our employees have their say, we welcome their collaboration and leverage their guidance when drafting the standards to improve their work environments.

impellerKSB is dedicated to safe, environmentally sustainable business practices in every interaction with our employees, customers, and partners. Learn more about our commitment to human rights and corporate responsibility at ksb.com.

KSB is proactive in identifying potentially hazardous conditions before we get to work. Our on-site staff understand operational processes and regulatory requirements best, so they can foresee problems before they ever have a chance to happen.

When we encounter a potential risk, preventive measures and an “all hands” approach are deployed as soon as possible to eliminate or mitigate threats. Read more about KSB’s commitment to environmental responsibility at ksb.com.

Looking out for the common good

KSB strives to contribute to the common good with education and social engagement initiatives.

Our educational initiatives include Germany’s “Wissensfabrik” — an educational partnership designed to further education in the fields of science, technology, and business. In Brazil, a KSB-sponsored program offers disabled students a pathway to work. KSB is also a proud partner Les Puits du Désert — Wells of the Desert — a French aid organization committed to developing new water sources for the Tuareg in Niger.

The secret to our success

A company is only as good as the people who make it work. At KSB, our employees are our most valuable resource, and we honor their contribution with our commitment to dignity, respect, diversity, and fair pay.

KSB is committed to fair trade and business practices, as illustrated in our zero-tolerance policy for corruption and/or human rights violations. Before we engage in a business agreement or partnership, our due diligence includes ensuring that potential partners or suppliers are willing and able to adhere to our sustainability and social standards.
